Liam Gallagher’s son is a chip off the musical block, as the previous Oasis star proved when he revealed that his 17-year-old progeny, Gene Gallagher, has been serving to him out within the studio as he works on new music.
Gallagher, 51, has reportedly been engaged on his new solo album, the as-yet-untitled followup to 2017’s All of Me, and took to social media on Wednesday to share a photograph of his son within the studio pounding on a set of bongos.

“Gene laying down some bongos on my new tune as you had been LG x,” Gallagher wrote within the caption.
Gallagher’s upcoming album has neither a title nor an official launch date, though Billboard reviews that producer Andrew Wyatt shared in-studio footage of Gallagher in an Instagram Story video again in January (which he since deleted), hinting that the brand new album could be arriving quickly.
Providing additional grist for the mill, final week Gallagher tweeted to a fan that the brand new album could be completed in “a couple of extra wks.”
