Heads up: a comet probably seen to the naked-eye is on its well beyond Earth.

Comet 46P/Wirtanen, first found in 1948, makes its approach across the solar each 5.four years. And this time it is making its closest strategy but to Earth.

It is not a very large comet — about 1.2 kilometres in diameter — nevertheless it has some attention-grabbing qualities that would make for a very good likelihood to see it.
